M&P 9mm pro

i have one, bought it from Badger Arms, but i wouldn't buy from them again. I love it, it's a great pistol.. That being said, i just bought a Glock 17 and it is just as nice a pistol.
 
As stated Pro has a much better trigger, however you can even go beyond and install the Apex comp kit in Pro as well as the Apex Ram and be really pimp! :)

Pros are hard to find at this time though, it may be abit to find one.
 
I have a Pro, I shoot it, I like it, it shoots decent group with my lack of skills, never jams regardless of ammo I feed it.

So it's a keeper for me for a long time.
 
use my pro for steel and id use it for IDPA if i ever got out to shoot it, like it alot and works really well for me. may throw the apex kit in it along with the ram just to slick it up even more

only complaint is the reset has zero feel to it and no click
 
I'm a big fan of my pro, however just so you are aware some people (including me) have been having issues with sear flutter in guns produced before 2011.

Here is an explanation I got from the smith-wesson forum:

"Essentially (seems to be some combination of dirt and sloppy tolerances), the sear doesn't move into the right place to grab the striker during recoil, and the gun won't fire."

Overall its a solid gun and the odds of it happening to you appear to be pretty small.
 
There is a fix for sear flutter, actually there are a couple. The first involves drilling the sear block for a larger diameter sear spring. The second involves using a stronger sear spring, and a standard geometry sear - the sear in the Pro has different angles, which is why sear flutter only happens on the Pro.

The Apex RAM makes the reset VERY distinct, 100% improvement.
 
Before you spend a chunk of money on the RAM, try this; take the slide off and get 2 pairs of needle nose pliers; then grab the end of the trigger bar opposite the trigger, holding the end near the trigger in place, gently (more like GENTLY) bend the sear end of the rigger bar inward toward the centre line of the frame. It doesn't take a huge amount of deflection to give a much more positive reset.
 
I purchased my Pro 9 this month and at the time North Sylva had two or three. I think they are all gone now but it shouldn't take too long to import some more. Maybe fire North Sylva a quick message or better yet call them during business hours.
 
I have had my Pro for about 6 months. It has functioned flawlessly. I will recommended it to anyone looking for an awesome gun.
 
Could someone here please post a synopsis of the M&P v.s. M&P Pro options?

Looking for a 9mm auto with out thumb safety, and M&P apprears to be the solution. Do I really need a pro? If so, why?
