M&P and Glock comparison with pics

It's the guns that don't have it understate the value of it.

Wow. You just won't quit.

There is nothing to understate. The guns that don't have it are not missing out on anything.

It's only hobby shooters like you that have no clue what their doing that think something like 2nd strike capability is in any way an asset or benefit.

I find it funny that you put so much weight into it, and think it is such a great feature. If that's the case, and you're making a pretty good argument that you think it's the best thing since sliced bread, why even bother getting guns that don't have it.

I mean, what ever would you do if you were shooting a Glock or M&P and the gun didn't go off when you pulled the trigger??

I train with 1911's Berettas, Sigs, Glocks CZs, M&Ps all the time and if that makes me a hoppy shooter thats fine with me. :) and only shooting one gun makes someone a pro? yeah sure? is it badge? I know I can shoot better than most cops out there.

This thread started off great, and generated into complete garbage. Such a sham
I agree, if this continues, mods please lock it.

The fact that Taurus put a second strike capacity on a gun is not an indication that it's a good thing. It's just an indication that Taurus thinks it's worth putting on a gun.

I would trust Taurus' take on what a decent gun consists of about as much as Richard Simmons...in fact he may well make more reliable firearms than Taurus, come to think of it.

Sure you do. If training is going to the range and blasting away with what ever gun you brought, as well as trying your buddies or other guys at the range.

I don't consider that training though, far from it.

... and only shooting one gun makes someone a pro? yeah sure?

Nope, never said that at all.

is it badge?

Never said that either.

I know I can shoot better than most cops out there.

And there it is.

Of course you know you can. And you know that because you've obviously shot with most cops. How else would you be able to make that determination.

That's right up there with your SME opinion on the usefulness of a second strike capability in a pistol.

This thread turned out as good as the 'average ar15 effective range' thread! lol

the guns I listed are mine that I regularly practice with. Not my buddies that I shoot once a year.

How do I know? Well let me ask you this, what percentage of cops do you think spends time at the range every week? well there you go.

:HR: :HR:

you do realize that wicked_police spends every working day at the range... and all of the cops he see's daily spend all day at the range too... so I think his opinion of a LEO's shooting ability may have some weight behind it.

I was not talking about him or people he works with but the cops in general

I routinely shoot with a bunch of cops at the range. They are all better than me. Last time I blasted the target in the end with the scattergun to hide the humiliation...:p

BTW, as Wicked_Police is actually a girl, please address her as such. Anything else would be rude. :D

Edit to add, he likes it when you call him Suzy....

12 pages ... seriously? Back on topic. I own one of each and I love the feel of the Smith. I recently learned how to really shoot the Glock and found out how great it is, but the M&P still just feels good in my hand.
I would post pictures but I am as of yet unable.
Cheers,
Alan
