M&P formed holster

Unless you want something fancy, take a look at the fobus. I was skeptical at first but am very happy with it now that i've used it. It has a retention screw you can adjust. I bought mine at Epps for around $25.

I've been using a leather carry holster that I purchased direct from S&W for competition. Its not the best for the range but gets you used to it if you have a carry permit in the US. Could wear it all day.

But for $25 I would try the Fobus if it is made for the M&P. How much are the Blade Techs? I didn't see a specific one on the DoubleTap site.

The Fobus is made just for the m&p 9mm and 40. Fits like a glove and actually snaps in. You can adjust the amount of pull needed to remove it from the holster.
I was also thinking about the leather holster direct from S&W. It's a good price and i like the name stamped on it too. Why is it not very good for the range?

Safariland for the exact same M&P.

suede inside and a retention block that can be tightened or loosened with supplied allen key depending on preference.

I have a Blade Tech Kydex Dropped and Offset Holster (DOH). For general range use it works great. Adjustable cant, and retention. You can also remove the drop and offset peice to wear higher on the hip if you want. Very well made. I like mine
