M&P lover only! High blood pressure stop

No big deal, the Milwaukee City PD just dumped their Glocks for reliabilty issues - who'd have thunk that - fail to feed and fail to eject (an officer was injured when his Glock stovepiped during a gunfight) - wierd sh*t happens every day.

hmm.. Checked out the site and pics of the M&P. Ive used mine regularly for 6 months now with very little cleaning. It still looks like brand new and still has zero misfires and zero fail to ejects. I am mystified as to why this gun catches so much bad mouthing from glock users.

No they bad mouth all other guns:D, not just M&P. This topic also show a very rusted glock.

Hey, news flash. Its called stainLESS steel, not stainPROOF steel. How about a little maintenance.

ETA: The distaste towards the M&P from the Glock crowd has to do with the fact that the M&P is S&W's second attempt at copying a Glock. Glock sued them over their first attempt, the SIGMA which was an utter failure.

I'm sorry, but this is either a case of severe neglect or it has been staged. Given the white residue (salt?) on the barrel and even the plastic body, I suspect the latter.

Wow,I was thinking the other day how Glock should copy some of the S&W M&P series pistols. I own both,I like the appearance, ergonomics, and quality of my S&W over my Glock, both perform flawless though.

By the looks of things, It sure did. ---> http://www.theprepared.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=90

"Its just discolored, everything slides, clicks, and sproings just fine. I'm going to clean everything and see what is actually rust and what is just "runoff".

Here's the "after" picture and comments:

"Good as new, almost. The Guide rod has pitting dammage, and so does the slide lock but thats the only evidence remaining. The locking block must have tennifer along with all the pins. The sopts on the bottom of the barrel discolored the finish, but the metal is still glass smooth. The other parts must be stainless steel, as it rubbed off, but didnt wipre righ off like the barrel and slide."
