Take a long thin object (a punch works) insert it in the hole on the bottom of the mag and push in (you'll feel the spring pressure) Slide the whole bottom spacer forward while pushing the spring inward. Carefully (I'm not kidding) slide your thumb over the mag tube base as you slide the plastic base off. You'll find a plastic base on the spring that (hopefully) needs a wiggle before the spring will come out. Slide the follower out. Wear eye and ear protection, keep out of the reach of children, this product has caused cancer in laboratory mice. The Surgeon General has determined that limiting your exposure to Liberal governments now greatly increases your chance of living life on your own terms.
 
The frame tool that is in your S&W fits just perfectly. Slide it in the hole in the bottom of the mag all the way, then apply a bit of pressure at the end. It will only fit about one more mm, but that's all you need to release the tension and slide it forward.
