A couple of my local shops have a M&P 9 package deal which is the pistol, 3 mags, and a holster for $800. Is it worth the extra $150ish (before rebate) for 2 extra mags and a holster?
Does anybody know if any of the contributing dealers have this package as well?

Thanks

well the mags are probably worth $50 a piece IF you can find them.. The 9mm mags seem to be difficult to find.

Seems like the gun is going for around $600 plus u can get the mag promo/rebate. The holster, I dont think is worth big bux. So if u buy a regular M&P9 (2mags) and can wait for the bonus 2 mags/rebate you'd probably be better off and can use the cash rebate to buy your holster. If u are stuck for a holster, the Glock 21 holsters seem to work just fine but there are type specific also on the market now.
Good luck

Reliable has it listed on their website for $825. Additional mags that I purchased from them were $60 each. The holster and mag pouch that come with the kit list for about $60 on Bladetech's website.

The one thing that I have heard about the M&P in the kits is that it doesn't include the mag safety option.

Iwas just reading in a US gun forums where there getting it for $500 = gun 5 mags and the holster

Now is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Depends. If you're police or military & or otherwise in a self-defense situation and the bad guys are about to grab your pistol you can make it inert by dropping the mag. However other than that its a PITA in IPSC because you have to insert a mag to drop the hammer at the end of the stage.

Unless, of course, someone wants to transport the pistol without a trigger lock and the mag removed and then claim in court that the absence of a mag makes the gun unable to fire so a trigger lock is unnecessary :p
