M&P Pro front sight falling off

Hi

Has any M&P Pro user had their front sight fall off?
Cause I took my new gun out and shoot for about 100 rounds then the front F/O sight just came right off. When I tried to fit the sight back in the dovetail, it feels really loose.

Here is a picture of the sight and dovetail groove.

Is that a S&W fitted front sight? I am assuming it is for the pro.
My standard M&P is a plain white dot and is fine so far, although that's only after a few hundred rounds.

I do recall seeing a thread in the past about a loose font sight, not sure if it was a pro though.

I have a M&P Pro in 9mm and I have put about 500 rounds through mine with no problems as of yet but now I will keep a sharp eye on it.

Just add blue locktite and tap it back on with brass punch, make sure you install it from the left side of the frame and get it centered in the slide, should take a whole 5min max...:D

the thing is... it is sooooo loose that i don't even need to tap it. The sight SLIDES in the dovetail almost as smooth as the slide on the frame LOL

Well thats a bummer, I have a regular site off of my m&P 40 do you want to try it in your slide? I can also knock out my new FO site on my slide if you want to try it, or I can measure it and we can compare the two...Almost sounds like they installed it from the wrong direction when it was new and damaged the taper on it...

Thanks for your offer. Its OK. I have someone in my club fixed it for me. It is now rock and rolling again lol

mine fell off too!!! is this a f***ing joke i have a beretta with 5000 rounds down the pipe and the front white dot is mint, put 200 rounds through the mp40 this weekend and after like the 100th shot it just blew the paint right off when i pulled the trigger!

should of bought a norinco!
