Hi,

I measured the barrel on my M&P .40 and it is only 103mm end to end. Isn't it supposed to be greater than 105mm? Does the CFC doesn't care about a few mm's anymore?

If it is the case, there are lot of pistols that have a barrel around 100mm that I am interested in. e.g. Ruger P95

The measurement is taken by a rod in contact with the breech face to the end of the barrel. As long as there is some measureable part beyond 105mm you're kosher.

As above, the RCMP measure the barrel length by inserting a rod down the barrel until it contacts the breach face, then marking the rod at the crown and measuring. Your barrel is at least 106mm.

Yes. You are right. If I measure by using a rod it is more than 105mm. Initially I measured just the barrel. I think I am more strict than RCMP:)
