So I have a m&p 9mm. I hate the trigger. I have searched online and only found companies in the USA that have a trigger kit for them. Does anyone in Canada sell them?

I don't think anyone in Canada has them. I've seen a lot of people talk about them and they say they order them from Brownell's. If you keep it under $100, they'll ship it since it would be exempt from ITAR.

This is correct. However, if you shoot your M&P for a while, or even dry fire it with snap caps, the trigger improves. Put a couple of hundred rounds through the gun and see how the trigger is then...

I wonder if you got a dealer account, then you might be able to order the apex FSS kit... There's a sticky in the black rifle section

I ordered mine from dillon precision (the reloading guys). the apex trigger is awesome and can be changes from about 2 1/2 lbs to about 5 lbs, by changing 1 or all three springs.

Dillon ships to Canada no problem and they are just awesome to deal with.

Highly recomend!

I have well over 1000 rounds through the gun.

If you want to ditch the 10.5lb pull, just order the 6.5lb factory trigger bar and trigger return spring from Brownells. This will run you just over $20.

M&P9 comes with a 10.5lb trigger?

I'm going to get this state wrong...is it Massachusetts? that wants 10lb triggers so that pistols are "safer"? There's model numbers on pg 15-16 here to check yours against. I haven't heard of a 10 pounder being imported into Canada...again with the "boy could I be wrong/ There's always a first time"...

Thank you for this. I will be checking this asap. It just doesn't make any sense as to why someone would import the MA compliant M&P.

The Range & Carry kit comes with a 10# trigger, drop the APEX CAEK in it and it will drop sub 3#.
I know this because i did it to mine.

My Range kit came with the 6.5lb trigger, but it sure felt like double digits! The CAEK kit dropped it to 2.5 on the button (as advertised); I wish it was financially viable for someone up here to carry Apex parts.

Well mine came with a 10# pull, CAEK shipped was $109 from brownells. I dont have a trigger pull gauge but i can tell you it feels 100 times lighter now.

I just checked my sku and the number doesn't match anything on that guide. I have the m&p40 range kit and the trigger doesn't feel like 10 lbs at all. It feels just a tad heavier than the wifey's 4.5 lb trigger.

Any other way to figure out without using a physical gauge?

I have the same gun. I don't find the trigger bad.

so, how hard is it to swap out??
is it a gunsmith job for those of us less mechanically inclined??

I thought it was just going to suck forever, now I have some hope....Thanks!!

I installed myself without any experience, just watch the videos by Randy on YouTube, if you dont think you can do what he does in the videos then you need to find a gunsmith.

Mine also came with the 6lb trigger.
A modified Burwell job on the FPB and trigger bar, then bunch of rounds downrange and now the trigger feels much more acceptable.
It's no 1911, but much better than when it started.
