I am already on my second 15-22. They are excellent rifles. You can get Black Dog 50 round drum mags if you don't like the S&W 10 rounders. The fact that they are restricted is a deal breaker for many people, but if you live near a range and already own restricteds it is no big deal. The 15-22 is by far the most fun to shoot gun I have ever owned.

SFRC (theammosource.com) sold me mine. I believe they just got a new stock in recently. Not sure what is left, if any.

I got mine from the ammonsource and my 50 round drum from questar. It's a great combo. Sucks it's restricted but I can always buy a cheap ruger 10/22 for camping.

The questar drums from blackdog... do you have to buy adaptors? The questar website is confusing... do you remember what you had to order or part numbers? Thanks...

You need to buy the S&W tower kit (BD-S&W-DRUMTK) & a drum magazine (BD-10-22-DRUM or BD-AR15-22-DRUM)
You will have to disassemble the drum and install the tower kit. The instructions are a bit confusing, especially regarding spring tensioning. Take your time and do it right, or the mag will not feed correctly. It took me 2 tries to get the spring tension right. Once I got the spring tension correct, it has been 100% reliable.

I know Goble's Gun and Tackle in London Ontario have at least one in stock. I just bought a GSG 1911 22 from them. It retails around $600 if I recall correctly.

So it is a $122 50 round drum... ok.
