M&P9 jamming update - Winclean warning

RCMP go through a ton of the WinClean for practice and have nary a problem. sounds like you either got a bad batch or something else is in play.

Take Care

Semiwad? You cheap bastard! Get FMJ! Get out of the smoke cloud for a while!

Oh, and hi John. How ya been? :)

Good Dan - especially since I moved away from Sodom-on the-Ottawa. Now I'm nice and central- 30 minutes from the RA ,Smiths Falls, Grenville, and EOHC. How's BC? Have you learned to talk like a left coastie yet?

Just burning off the last of a few 000 SWC I got from Wolff- switching to metalclad...

Cheers

This is interesting, my 1911 has been jamming alot with WinClean. maybe I should try some other ammo. Unfortunately Stupid Kelowna only has 2 gun stores (If you want to call them that) and they barely carry any ammo (And the ammo they do carry is overpriced).

Sigh, gotta make a trip to Vernon or Kamloops.

Hmmm, funny you say that. I have around 3000 rounds of that stuff through a G17C and never had a problem. If anything I thought the rounds were kinda on the hot side rather than being low on power. Perhaps you got a bad batch.

maybe yours got the powder Davy's was missing :D

I had the same problems with Winclean failing to feed properly in my M&P45. Seems to like the Frontier 200g truncated cone, but I haven't put that many rounds through it yet. Must be something about the chamber/ramp on the 45 that is a bit finicky.

sound like a bad lot no# , you should pull the bullet and see what how they loaded the rd with. I'm not sure about the primers that "win clean" use and their self life. As a rule i cycle through factory ammo very fast. I keep to American eagle cheap stuff for the 9.
