M&P9 or PPX

I have an M&p 22 that fits my hand great. Even with all the back straps on the glock. I have problems getting a comfortable grip.

Yeah same here, the Glocks just never felt right. I was a little bummed on giving up all the optional accessories and parts but hey, what good is it if it doesn't fit.

Hi. I have both -- and the PPX is definitely more comfortable in the hand. I'm not the best shooter, but I was all over the place with the M&P out of the box (more than I usually am :) ). With the PPX I was shooting good groups, more-or-less where I was aiming. I added the Apex trigger to the M&P and it is MUCH better now -- I would say equal to the Walther.

My only problem with the PPX is that it seems to not like the cold. I've shot it a few times in -20 or so weather, and it seemed to stove-pipe about 5% of the time. Never had that problem with the M&P.

Good luck!

I appreciate this thread. I have a M & P .40 and it feels great in my hand, however, after a conversation with my son, I'm curious about the PPX. Enjoying the research before the purchase.

The PPX grip is love or hate imo. Try them both in person. If you can't try them the M&P is a safer bet.

If you are moving away from the this or that and you are really not sold on the M&P, for about the same money you can get a 75B. I prefer the M&P for IDPA but love the accuracy of the CZ line. The basic 75B with a 13# trigger spring gives nothing away to it's higher priced siblings. All that said the M&P is a fine pistol and will serve you well with all the tinkering parts you want from Apex.

Take Care

Bob

Went with an M&p. Actually ended up with 2. Agreed to a trade(didn't want to back out after I said yes) and got a good price on a new one. So one will be going up on EE. (As soon as I get it Haha)
