M pro 7 gun oil reviews? Recommended gun oil for rust resistance?

What is the best available gun oil for rust prevention? Seen test online somewhere years back showing that frog line was the worst one in regards to rust prevention

what conditions are you storing your firearms in? If kept at proper humidity/temp levels you should be fine with any standard gun oil.

I m not sure what the best is,but I would use Fluid Film.
I'm pretty sure that its one of the better ones out there.

Eezox hands down. There is a thread here where someone did the nail test. IMHO it came out on top. Can be found on sight sponsor 4GT.ca website.

I don't even mind the smell.

Never had an issue with frog lube personally. Also have used the M-Pro oil and cleaner, it works as well, really like the M-pro synthetic grease for certain applications.

Just asking cuz of taking my rifles out in the freezing cold and then coming inside they start to sweat a bit and don’t want any rust on my nice thunder sticks. I have a dehumidified safe for storage. There’s also the Lucas gun oil I seen posted on cgn awhile back. That might be good too eh

Well - Oiling guns is good... but, when bringing a gun in the cold, the trick is to gradually warm the gun up. I keep an old blanket in the house that I wrap the incoming gun (and optic) with. It warms up over several hours without sweating. I think this is particularly beneficial for the scope.

Wax it, nothing wrong with waxing the metal - keeps a barrier from the moisture even if it does start to sweat. will also UV protect your bluing or CCH finishes - what have you.

Not a bad idea. I would oil it up first tho to repel moisture. Think that’s a good idea? lol

Renaissance wax is one of the best

I've heard this from several people. ($16.00 US - $20.38 CDN at current exchange rates - on Amazon US; $48.90 on Amazon.ca! Lucky I have an alternate US address.)

M-Pro 7 and G96 is my go lubrication, have been using them for a while and both are working fine.

I like to use M-Pro 7 on AR15, other semi auto rifle and pistol.

G96 is mainly use for bolt rifle and shotgun.

Anyone use CorrosionX? I use the regular (red can) aerosol and the HD version for general use on tools and gear that get outdoor exposure, but have never used the firearm version.
