I just bought a garand rear sight to replace my m305 norky one.. I was looking for info on the markings on the knobs mean. I looked at my new sight and it is marked a little different than the one on my garand and it looks similar to the one on my norky, since I didn't buy either of my rifles new I don't know if I got ripped off on the new sight or if my norky already had the sight swapped out...
Any help?
Thx

m 14 sites are marked in meters.(including U S m 14,s) m 1 sites are marked in yards if you look at your m 14 sites there will be an M cast or stamped in one of the ajusting knobs.

There were quite a few USGI contractors for M1 and M14 elevation and windage knobs. If you post the letters, someone can identify who made the part. I don't know about Canadian imports but Chinese M14 rifles had "W C E" marked on the windage knob. That was a reproduction marking but the windage knob was made in China like the rest of the rifle, obviously. W C E means Wilco Electric Co.
