M1 Carbine ?Bipod?

Ok, I've seen lots of M1 Carbine's on the EE, and I have seen this one up for a while now. I have been considering talking to this individual about purchasing it lately, but the bipod has got me thinking. Has anyone ever seen an M1 Carbine with a bipod? I know I haven't ever seen it. Is this Carbine worth what he's selling it for?

A bipod on an M1 carbine is as useful as lipstick on an elephant.

That bipod is just there to get a good pic of the carbine.

Carbines never had bipods. Not even the M3 with the 'snooper scope' attached. It'd be like putting training wheels on a Harley.

Did see one in a book called "secret weapons on canada in W.W.2".
not sure why it was on there ,didn't bother to read about it .

Neat bayonet bipod on that Enfield.

No W.W. II/Korea sniper would ever use a bipod on a T.

Bi pod like that on a No4 would throw things so out of whack , it would be laughable.
I use that as a holder only ....been pondering the idea of welding on a muzzlebreak tho...

"...pondering the idea..." Making the brake yourself? Find a beat up/rusted spike bayonet, cut off the 'nail' and weld the brake onto what's left. Won't make the skinny butt plate any wider though. A slip on recoil pad works well though. Pachmayr makes one that doesn't cost a fortune.
