Looking for some info on the scope mounts for the reproduction M3 carbine knight sight. I was told but Jim Mock the guy that knows Bavarian carbines that this carbine could be a Ordnance Experimental carbine. Jim also pass the pics to Larry Ruth ( War Baby Book ). I was also told by another person in the U.S. that there was some info in the METRIC FAL book about the scope mount ???. If some one out there that has this book if they could check it out. It would be greatly appreciated or any other info. Was also told that the scope mount was made by the Dutch for the M1 carbine & the FN FAL. Pics further down the forum

The carbine N.P.M. was rebuild by Underwood .U. Thank for any info.

gunsdora,

Nice photo presentation of a most unusual carbine.
I doubt that there are many collectors that have anything that is similar.
Good luck with your quest to find out more about it.

Jim Mock and Larry Ruth are pretty good people to turn to.

David

A fellow from Norway that was considering purchasing a M1A1 carbine stock sent photos of this marking that I had never seen before.
Could they be similar to your photo number three?

just seen one of those stocks on ebay or gun broker but it was cut slightly different in the scope mount area ,and the holes in the bottom of the fore stock for that metal
clip were factory drilled.

I have the other IR sniperscope model. The pistol grip has a different mounting clamp. The scope mount looks similar but is not the same. I can provide photos if required. I also have the manual, not sure if it covers multiple models. It probably does let me look for it...

Edit, the manual is only for Set No. 1 (1951 version).

Yes, thats the one I have.

Unfortunately I do not have a carbine with the proper mounting bits so I am not able to make use of it. Does yours work?

No I am looking for the pistol grip & the scope mount. The carbines you see in the pic are in New Zeland. He just sent me the pics to let me now what to look for. The fun of the war baby you never know what your going to find.
