M1 Carbine questions.

Keepshooting.com has (repro) slings, oilers and pouches for the M1 Carbine all for $10. or less each. They are good to deal with and fast delivery. Get the old guy to will you his Universal M1, Otokiak...apparently it's hard to find a non-res version.

Read up on the universal m1 carbines before u buy one.. it can be risky to shoot one.. Out of battery fire, cheap aluminum trigger group, can't put usgi parts on it etc..
What would this be worth? Where can I get him some ammo for this thing as he has 11 Federal 110 gr soft points bullets left for this thing? Where can I find him a sling for this rifle?

Read all about the commercial ones here... I recently bought what looked like a real POS " Iver Johnson" , but after I cleaned it up and oiled her, she shoots amazingly well. I did bring her deer hunting this year, but much prefer the Mini-30... just my 2 cents, though.

The 19" barrel is definately what you need so you can at least USE the damned thing. But not worth a whole lot... it is, after all, just a civilian copy.

Too bad the GI carbines are so expensive... and RESTRICTED
