Has anyone tried the scout forward optic mount on Fulton Armorys web sight?Or anything like it?
Looks good,no gun smithing,change it out any time you want,doesn't hurt the rifle. And where could I get one in canada?
While I'am on the subject,wheres a good source for parts,small parts ,like a M2 mag catch,newer safety,and such??

For a carbine optic mount, I suggest the Ultimak, available from Brownell's. No gunsmithing required, and it seems to work quite well. You may have to mill out some stock material on non-USGI stocks, including the Bavarian stocks, and some other post WW2 replacements. It will not fit on the commercial variants.

Regarding the parts, good luck - they are available from the US (Numrich, etc.), but you need import & export paperwork now.

I have added the ultimak to my carbine. I was very happy with it. No play in the mount at all, easy to install. Just expencive.
