I guess unlike the SKS, it didn’t make the miraculous transformation from weapon of war to tool of hunting and vote getting in the Indigenous community but that said I do know someone who has hunted deer with one.

If 18" wasn't restricted, which most M1 were. I'm pretty sure you see more 30 carbines used for hunting.

But they banned Mini 14/30s and those are used by Indigenous community. Yet the SKS got a pass, so that whole reasoning makes no sense.

I’d guess if they banned both the Mini 14/30 and the SKS it wouldn’t leave much left for ANYONE to cheaply hunt with and if you’re banning guns to gather votes, you gotta be careful what you ban.

Your mistake was trying to use logic to understand Liberals. None of it makes sense logically lol.

"You cannot reason someone out of an opinion, that they did not reason themselves into."

Back in the day before PET moved them to restricted I knew lots of guys who hunted coyote with them using surplus round ball ammo because it just punched a little hole in the pelt. I should point out that was back when fur was worth quite a bit. Again, the leftists ruin everything in this country.

it's surprising the Chiappa 22 LR dressed up like an M1 was banned but the Ruger 10-22 escaped.

I'd be fully prepared and expect a not so distant future sweeping ban of the 10-22 along with the SKS.

Once they figure out the wording and how to address "kits", that change looks but not functionality it's game over for the entire 10-22 industry.
These are all the same gun so I'm guessing they are working diligently on a reason to ban it.

The Mini 14/30 was never available by the crate for pocket change. The SKS was. It's just so prevalent. Also I'm sure the Mini was HIGH on Poly's ####list.
