M1 Carbines pricing

Bruce had some very interesting guns, but if you wanted to do a deal with him it was either face to face or on the telephone. Bruce did not “do” computers.

In March 2007 there was a request on a Canadian Gun Forum from the movie prop company in Vancouver looking for full auto .303 cal. Lewis guns for this production.

Their comment---- it will end up as a star in a movie that will be a historical piece of Canadiana when finished.

I saw the request mentioned above and remembered that Bruce Strader had such a gun.....I made the introduction in April 2007....and a deal was done.
Apparently Bruce’s gun functioned flawlessly.

That's my handiwork on that NPM with muzzle extension from a few years ago. I still own the carbine, and the little Busy Bee Craftex lathe too.

I have removed a number of extensions on M1 carbine barrels, where the majority have been soldered on. Trick is to get all the solder off the barrel, so the re-park will take as part of a good restoration.

I have had to work on one other TIG welded one, but the weld bead overlapped onto the front sight. It was worse than the one pictured. Could not restore the front sight.
