M1 Garand 308 value

I've got a buddy who has a M1 Garand rebarreled to .308 forget who the manufacturer is. What's the ballpark value for these?

Garands on EE typically go for 1200-1800.

Zero collector value, but there was one on iCollector in 2011 that did not sell at $750US. Estimated value of $1500 to $3000 US at the time. US values, of course, mean nothing here. A guy on outdoorsmenforum.ca had one he could sell at $2300Cdn in Jan of 2013. I'd guess a grand would sell it.
Condition is everything, naturally, and your buddy will have to find a buyer who wants one. Mostly there aren't many of 'em(.308's) up here and there's far more demand for original M1 Rifles.

The 308 garands are well sought after, price anywhere between 12-1600$ depends on condition.
