I was cleaning up a Danish Springfield M1 Garand today and noticed that the VAR barrel was serial numbered to the receiver on the left side of the barrel. The gun is in the 900,000 range.
Anyone else notice this on any of their guns? I have VAR barrels both new and take offs and none of them are so numbered.
