M1 Garand Found in Gromely ON

"...for 400 each..." Geezuz! You guys had best sit down. Mine cost me $175 at Nick's on Young St in downtown TO. Might be before some of ya'll were born. The U.S. guys get really quiet when I tell 'em that.
M1's have gotten way over priced. Too many guys and retailers think they're worth what they are Stateside these days. They ain't.
 
Hate to be the one to break it to you sunray but they're worth what people will pay, so yes, times have changed and they're worth what they are selling for these days. :)

Ferrari 250 GTOs at one time dropped to $2500, went up to $17 million, dropped to $2.5 million, then up to $30 million. There's no fixed price for anything, and Garands will go up further, it's not exactly like they've been mass producing them recently. :) Heck we pay $1,000+ more for an M1A with a cast receiver. A forged, milspec and issued Garand looks pretty good at $1,200, one day we'll be saying "Could have had two for just over $2,000 back in 2013".
 
I wonder how many Garand's are sitting in attics or in the back of closets in this country. Here on the river I know of a least two WW2 era Garand's but the owners will prob never part with them.....and this isn't a very densely populated place.

I'm honestly just waiting for all you old farts to keel over, then thousands of Garands are going to flood the market from all those lovely collections and safes. I'll be swimming in Garands.

Just kidding, I wish you all the best of health. I'm just not going to pay $1300+ for one.
