Does anyone have a complete list of M1 Garand parts that are interchangeable with the M14? By complete list, I mean; lock, stock & barrel.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but I have never heard of a single part that's interchangeable between the two...totally different beasts.

Ah...rear sights.

trigger/sear/ diconnector assembly, hammer and hammer plunger/tube and spring as well as the rear sights.

I'm not aware of any other parts that are interchangeable but someone else might.

Lemme see: safety, trigger axis pin, hammer axis pin, yeah all the rear sight assembly, and lower buttplate screw/sling swivel....... I think that may be it.

Peace be to journey!

Handguard clip

Yes it's supposed to be interchangable, but I haven't tried. Also have read extractor, spring and plunger will work but don't have them to try.

All trigger group parts with the exception of the trigger gaurd and housing.
Rear sites, rear handgaurd clip, extractor, extractor spring and detent.
the lower sling swivel and screw and some M1 buttplates fit on early M14 stocks.I forgot that the M1 clip ejector can be cut and used in the place of a M14 safety spring !

So here is the list in one place -

All trigger group parts with the exception of the trigger guard and housing:
trigger axis pin
hammer axis pin
sear
disconnector assembly
hammer
hammer plunger/tube and spring
safety
rear sight (complete_
rear handguard clip
extractor
extractor spring
extractor spring plunger

some M1 buttplates
barrel threads are interchangeable (and index nicely too)

Thanks for compiling the complete list "maple leaf eh"!

I think this list, wobbles99's dissertation on glass bedding, the mag problem resolution and the loose op-rod guide resolution should be sticky'd.

Does anyone else agree with me?
