I just received " The US 30 Caliber Gas operated Service Rifles, A shop Manual" by Jerry Kuhnhausen. This book covers the M1 and the M14 like you would not believe. Every page has at least two pictures and the amount of info is brain numbing. It even has a section for the M14 about how to bring your gun up to National Match specs. Everything from tightening up the rear sight to shimming the gas block to bedding. If you want to learn all the info you can about these rifles this is the book.
The next best thing is that you don't have to or der from the US considering no one will ship to Canada. I went to 3 w's.denner.ca They are in North Lancaster Ontario. They have a very large selection of shooting and related topic books. They had shipped my book out within hours of taking my order. So if you are looking for books within the CGN realm of interests I would try these guys first, they are great to deal with and they are Canadian.
