M1 Garand maximum permitted magazine capacity?

I have taken game with my 8 rd enbloc Garand, but I also have a couple of modified 5 rd clips in the event some overzealous and uninformed CO decides to be super cop.

It depends on the province you are hunting in. Alberta limits all semi-auto rifles to 5 rounds for big game hunting, with no exemption for the Garand.
