M1 Garand needs a facelift (return to former glory )

Hi all
I have a springfield m1 dated to 1952,
It has had a horrible blue job applied and needs new stocks.
It has a Winchester marked barrel which will need replacing.
Anyone know where I can get quality parkerizing done and does anyone specialize in the garand ?

x 2, I saw his work, and what he does to these rifles is simply outstanding. In short, they look much better than new.

Several on here have the tools and know-how to swap barrels for you, and new or lightly used barrels pop up on the EE from time to time. Arma-coat offers parkerizing services and dont seem to have a "when I get to it" turnaround time. You can find them in the dealer forums under finishing specialists.

I just took my M14 into Vulcan and while I was there I had a chance to check out a Garand and a P14 he just refinished. They looked AWESOME.

Send it to Nick. You will not be disappointed. He is an expert.

I've seen his work on YouTube , that's exactly what I'm look for!
I think I might contact him and get some price quotes.
Hopefully he has some early 50's era SA barrels
Judging by the price of some latestest imports of garands I would only
Be adding value to me SA.(might not want to hunt with her anymore!)

Nick helped me on my ground up build reparked and installed a new barrel looks fresh off the line.

Can I ask what the approximate cost of the rebuild was? I've got 3 Garands in various states of repair and would love to get at least one good one built.
