M1 garand recommended grease

I've used synthetic wheel bearing grease from CT for many years in my M1 and M14 rifles. A tube will last you a lifetime and is inexpensive.

Lubriplate is the issue lube, if you can find it.

I use Lucas red n tacky on the M1 I bought off of L.Parratt. Lucas seems to work very well and stays put. It is NLGI#2

Liberals’ tears should work as good as any.

I had a small tube lubriplate that i used in my mini14’s and m305-never an m1.
Another vote for it.
