I need help finding a decent price to sell my M1 Garand. I know that there are some Garand guru out there that could assist me.

It is a original Springfield Armory with NO matching numbers... Bought it in LeBaron in Montreal in 98 and only took it to the range twice since (last time in 2000). I was planning for restauration back then and I don't see time in the near future for it.

Here's some of the serial numbers on it:
Receiver: SA 1720###
Bolt: D282xx-19SA
Trigger group: D282xx-12-SA
Operating rod: D 353xx 6 SA
barrel: SA 65354xx 2 66 MD60

It is not in great shape except for the trigger group. Wood is very dark and feel greasy. Elevation works but windage is very hard to adjust. Some green stuff in the barrel but the chamber is good.

So, Garand guru, what do you think?

M-1 rifles don't have matching serial numbers. The numbers on the parts you listed are drawing numbers, relating to the blueprint sheet and therefore current manufacturing variation, although all are Springfield manufacture. That is most likely coincidence. Barrel was made Feb. 66.
You were planning on doing some restoration, and the rifle could use some help.
As you know, M-1 prices have been climbing. If you listed the rifle at $300, I bet it would be sold quickly. At $500 it might take a while.

thanks for the quick response
It is about what I expected, I will probably ask 450$ shipped and see the result...

cheers

I remember when 'lever arms' (vancouver) had literally hundreds for sale @ 185.00 per copy back in the mid 90's

I remember them being $149 each or 4 for $500.
Foolishly, I only bought two. Had I known how they would go up in value, I would have bought a dozen!
