Okay you M1 Garand lovers,

I just swapped a factory SA (1954) barrel out for a .308 Service Grade barrel I will be using for my Service Rifle matches. All the while I got 1bigrn (fellow CGNutter) to do the monkey wrenching while I pointed with the "finger of authority". What an easy job.

So here's the offer.... I'm an Albertan stuck in Ontario's McSquinty land for several more years so I may as well spread the karma before some errant school bus driver runs me over, while I'm carrying out my bus duties at my high school. If you have an M1 Garand needing a new barrel AND the new barrel to be screwed on, bring it up here to my location and we'll do it together. (read: YOU are the muscle and I'm the brains :D)

What's the cost? Likely a steak dinner/lunch at Kelsey's if we got the time.

So, if you got an M1 project that you have been waiting all these years, bring 'em on.

You see, over the years of doing M14 clinics, various M14 lovers with an array of skills have paid me back in kind by fabricating 'prototypes' of tools and then giving them to me. Afterwards, they made their own tools. Now that I've got some of their tools, I can return the favor (and pay it forward) by doing YOUR project with said donor tools. Everybody WINS !!

So that's where I'm coming from! Time to extend that offer to the Milsurp section since we've been doing this lots over in the Main Battle Rifle forum for quite a while now. :)

Peace be to journey!!
