I finally got the scope I wanted for my M14 (tax refunds are great;)). Leatherwood's M1000. It's 2.5-10x with a mill-dot reticle. This scope was designed in the early years of the VietNam War. Once dialed in, all one has to do is zoom in on the target and frame it withing 2 dots and the scope mount automatically rises for the drop. Here it is:

I havnt had a chance to zero or index the scope. It will be ready for the M14 shoot at Cedar Springs.

Nice to have a long range shooting area for setting the cam. It will take a few shots to fine tune your setting. I like the scope but was disappointed when the mounting cross bar for the rail fell off, when I contacted Hi Lux they suggested I JB weld it back. The multiple zero rings are a nice feature. You will likely want a riser on your stock as the scope is very high (at least I find mine high,ARMS 18).

Thanks for the tip. Mine is higher because I use the McCann Industry's mount. I dont find that an issue at all, I prefer it higher.

I also have their M1500 for my Rem 700, which now has a TAC 21 frame. It sits so low I have to get a rail extender, otherwise the end of the scope hits the front of the frame. Once I get that done I'll post pics in the Precision section.
