Well thanks for letting us know CanAm. The whole situation means I am tapping out and will not be purchasing one of these. Was really looking forward to it, but now that M+M and NS have asked me to bend over first.......well I am just not into that.
 
I expect M+M will be reading this thread, and they can tally me as a non sale. I was going to get one and no longer will, screw you M+M.
 
I have a feeling the MSRP raise in the US was simply to try and block guys like IRG from bringing them in at appropriate pricing. Just keeps feeling more and more slimy. Mickey Mouse indeed.
 
Everyone pissed off about this should start a new thread in NS's forum. Make the dealers who use greasy, underhanded business practices work harder to suppress the truth and send a clear message that they can F.O.

Hats off to you Canam for telling your side you have my respect unfortunate they both F_cked you. If anything save all these pages and those NS is erasing to show any future people who are considering a distributor what the people with the $ think of you vs NS, This stuff should be gold in PR for you.
On the other hand may I suggest a different approach to my fellow gunnies, everyone go to NS page and say you can't wait to get one even two or three so they bring in a boatload and then no-one buys it :)))

You should delete the name calling, not allowed.

Work harder? It takes all but two seconds to delete.

That does seem like the most plausible reason for the arbitrary price hike – especially given the lack of demand for that rifle at the previous price of 1k in the US and the availability of better / battle tested firearms options.

100 threads, with more popping up constantly as they are deleted adds up to a lot of work for them sitting at the computer constantly watching for more threads popping up.
