FYI - I cannot explain things further her for "reasons" but I have been led to believe from industry members m+m had or has no capital to build these rifles. Whatever transpired between them and wanstalls or Canada Ammo I cannot say but they wanted a partner to invest a lot of money to finance production, not just a Canadian dealer to retail the guns. M+M is a very small operation.

Gun sales in the USA aren't great. There's a ton of product on the market. I can't see this gun selling very well stateside due to pricing and competition from other proven designs


Also why elevate this to the conspiracy level of the moon landings. M+M likely went with the highest or more lucrative contract. Don't like how it went down? Don't buy the gun

Yeah well, I need the capitol too so figuring it's best for me not to purchase a rifle that could not survive and be holding the bag as it were.

M+M doesn't give a damn about any money issues I may have so I don't give a damn about theirs.

If the MSRP is THAT much, then they aren't making ANY money stateside, except in niche markets. AND, North Sylva would be selling at a considerable loss.

Street price on an M10X is about 1,200 stateside. Sorry but The Truth About Guns can say whatever they want, I'm looking at a stateside retailer right now and it's 1,199 USD. 1,199 US is about 1,500 Cdn. Two can play that game. Want the screenshot?

I think that's exactly what they'll find happens. Not so much due to "ugh let's boycott those guys!" as it will be to suddenly they cost more than expected. Pricing is a fine line and consumers are a fickle people, and at 2k it's pushing into premium rifle territory.

Now that being said, if they suddenly show up in stores at 1600$ I'll buy one. If they maintain 2000$ I won't. And I'd buy without a second thought about the shenanigans that may have happened. Money talks. The ball is in North Sylvia and M&M's court now. I'll wait to see what they sell for.

What about the poor guy who posts target pics and a little video of himself shooting his shiney new m10x? Are we to shame him off the forum?
I'd like to see where Wanstalls refuses to sell it. It would take the sting out of the raw deal for some I bet. Canada ammo announcing that they wouldn't deal with it was a strong move and was a good move on their part imho.

No that would be pretty childish. Usually I'm all for childish but not in that way. If you have the cash and want to buy it, fill your boots. I'm just saying M&M shouldn't be surprised if they sell in 'niche' quantities, instead of more CZ858 quantities.

I have no horse in this race, I wasn't on the pre-order, I was merely an interested customer, and I'll remain "interested" until something changes. Either I'll be a buyer or not. Likely not at 2k$ though. My 102 was 1800$, I can't compare this to that, especially at a higher price.

The title of this thread says MSRP.
North Sylvia posted the Canadian msrp.
Dealers sell for under msrp most of the time. Hence the diff between the MSRP in the US and the street price.
Do I need to explain this further to you?
I have not seen any confirmation of the street price in canada, just people assuming it will be cdn msrp.


Maybe someone can actually place an order and see how much it is.
If they price it too high, wait a while. Remember that type 1 T97's were $1100 at launch with a dolllar near par, now $750 with the dollar at traditional rates.

So your argument is that a several hundred dollar hike in US and Canadian MSRP whilen the guns laguish on the shelves for $1000 USD is justified so M&M, a failing business, can stay open a while longer?

Yeah, that inspires me to invest in their soon-not-to-be supported rifle when they unavoidably crater for making a $2000 AK worth $500 buck stateside. I'm going to enjoy watching this train wreck from the sidelines. Caveat Emptor.
 
Save your money for the BCL, it has potential, and it ain't some frankenrifle, fake ak, these guys are joke and the canadian distributer as well, just exploiting the canadian market, I was interested but not will support a company that uses business practices like this, even if they lower the price I still won't buy one of these, these guys have shown us what type of people they are, like the old saying goes, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!

That's bad, m10x is better than 102, and yes i will pay 2000 $ on February.

Which guns sell less than msrp in Canada ?
I bet not by much... maybe 5% less?
 
I myself am still waiting for the Type 81 and can't even think about this M10X. Here we are waiting and waiting.... Anyday now.....
