M10x FAILURES

Lol! Mike, is that you? No offence but you don’t even own one, and since when do most rifles not come with sights? Anyway, enjoy possibly hitting the side of barn with yours!

The first to buy M10X Fanboys had issues with the rifles dying in under 500 rounds by failing to fire, the hammer/sears were worn out. The guns are not good, and definitely were not worth $2000+....still not worth $1699 that they sell for today.
Plus the owner of M&M is the biggest douchebag in the gun industry, and nobody in their right mind should support that kind of scum.

you do have to understand that NR appeals a lot of people. the greed of some companies is a big issue.

if we all knew the sks was so good there were none left on the market ...

for the OP i know people that had the choice between ak47 and sks and the sks is still ahead ...

Went through this years ago with the XCR, had one of the first ones in Canada. Spend 2k+ on rifle, only to have it fly apart on you while shooting. Literally popped open and #### its internals out the back. Accuracy was broad side of barn. Sent it back twice finally was somewhat useable but it was big heavy and not really useful. Ended up dumping it on the EE.

That m10 gun has so much promise, maybe it will improve. I would love a modernized AK, it just needs to be reliable as one

Here is a video re: a good thing in this rifle-namely handle, but even then M10x was so greedy that have not included a Samson/Hogue AK cleaning kit into the handle. SO I had to buy it separately from USA

For what it's worth, I bought my M10X-Z for just under $2000 on June 1 2020. I was super stoked since this would now be the most valuable piece in my growing collection.
I took it out the following day to see only pure disappointment.
The entire day I got no more than 40 rounds out
First few rounds were so stiff to charge and feed
Every other round would lock the bolt forward so only excessive force or mortaring would pull it back
After a couple test fires I was willing to give benefit of the doubt amd let it break in.
I continued to experience FTEject and FTF at a ratio of 1 decent shot to every 5 rd
Eventually my chatging handle popped out while shooting (Yes it was spring facing upwards and rotated to lock upwards)
Finally on about round 35 or so, the bolt was locked once again, this time however, it was the last rounf in mag that was fired, but last round hold open failed to hold bolt carrier back and it closed forward on empty casing, lodging it into the barrel
Average picks were no match so I packed up for the day

Once home I tapped a cleaning rod through the barrel and was able to get the spent casing out.

Immediately sent M+M a message and still waiting

Meantime I have cleaned, lubed, and wiped off any excess.
I have tried racking new rounds but continue to experience FTF and FTEject. The bolt occasionally closes with roughly 1 inch of space, and requires mortaring to open.

For $2000, I dont think these are problems I should be facing in the first 30 rounds.
Break in I get, but how am I to break in if it doesn't operate?

Waiting for reply from M+M, may take out to test once more after fresh clean and lube, dont expect a whole lot since Im still experience the bolt locking to the cartidge.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please let me know, I would really like to enjoy this rifle.

Return the gun to the dealer

As a naive fool, I was in on the BCL-102 pre-order, so I definitely feel the same pain. My BCL "groups" in feet and already have lost close to $1000 of value from the original cost.

I was in the same boat. Pity the fool! I traded my FDE BCL 102 straight across for a T-81 with a drum mag. I believe I got the better of the deal.

If anyone is interested, RDSC had no problem taking the M10X-Z Lemon back for inspection.
Should hear back in roughly 1 week.
Please wish me luck, compadres

IMO, they added more barrel without tweaking the gas system. Normal setting gives not enough gas, dirty setting gives too much.

I had constant stuck cases with chinese white box and zero problems with barnaul.

This one being my only non-prohibited rifle left I will put it through some serious round count and will keep everyone updated.

I also planning to black locktite the rail to the receiver (which will solve the accuracy problems). no need to baby your semis they are all going to be prohibited soon.

So glad I didn't spent the $2500 on the M10X package that was for sale on the EE a few weeks ago. Instead I picked up a Winchester 1894 model made in 1898..... 122 years young and after a workout of a cleaning job (was a safe queen) she is back to firing like a dream. Took her out plinking pop cans and she functioned good and proper.

You say the Barnaul 7.62 runs nice through the M10X? When I get it back Ill try that out.
Chinese surplus "non-corrosive" gave all headaches... but for 2000 it should eat anything. Haha
Thanks for the heads up!

i do not see why Andrei is complaining about the m10x ... it is built as the lada niva ... when you get in you never know what will not work ... most of electric parts are russian copy of italian ones that were known to not be good the same for that modern version of the ak ... the only good thing was the engine able to start with no battery when really cold ... the rest was disposable ... and sometimes not on your will ...

despite no proper optic mount the t81 worth is gold of little money ....

and i do agree some ak mags are not working in ak rifles was a problem way back in the past ...

the t81 and sks kd love t81 mags what s not to love ...

yes charging handle design is a big problem for 10x. I really like t81 with custom AK mount, which I have video on and , of course I like sks and sks-kd. vz58 was never my primary 7.62x39 choice, but I really like it too. M10x charging handle problem is fixable with a washer rubber and it really likes only one type of ak mags-magpul plastic. mine eats any ammo from those mags. it took me 8 hours on the range to finally make it work.... 2000 bucks? 500$, the price for it should be 350 max, given garbage and unreliable design.... I wont start m series vs ak.... but M10x should have been killed as a project at the very beginning.... such a shame to the AK line. And yes, if SHTF and I may have a choice I would grab AK47 milled, otherwise, my sks kd works with all mags, eats all ammo, has HBO, Milled, #1stamped to the front post, eats t81 mags too..... a fantastic machine
strongly recommend sks kd as a #1 choice!
