M10x FAILURES

I hated T81. $1000 SKS. And SKS is more accurate.

Vz58 on the other hand is an amazing rifle. Light, handy, accurate and utterly reliable.

Found the same.
Type 81 is a much more fun gun but I could barely hit my 16" plate at 100m with the irons.
I can hit the plate with my $180 Chinese SKS out to 300 with the same surplus ammo lol

I like the T81 for ergonomics and cool factor but not for $1K . I sold it quickly. Novelty wore off fast at that price tag.
Back to good old SKS.

The Type 81 has proven so far to be more reliable then the SKS. Ive seen SKS's FTF with soft points... my Type 81 however does not.

Not one of my 20+ SKS's that I have owned ever FTF on anything, including Hornady SST and Prvi SP, brass or laquer cases.

Ive witnessed my modified SKS FTF during a bear hunt drawing Winchester SPs from a Tapco mag... I was quick to think like many here would that it must be the Tapco mag. Fast forward 2 years to a 3 gun match. A beginner is using Federal SPs in a factory Russian SKS and has MULTIPLE FTF throughout the day. Then at another match I witness another factory SKS FTF with the Winchesters.

SKSs failing to feed with Lesser SPs is a thing.

I’ve been shooting my M10X with Russian surplus non-corrosive ammo and I haven’t had a single snag yet with around 600 rounds down the pipe. All the people talking poorly of it just can’t afford one. My two cents.. I’ve owned the type 81 and it’s absolute dog ####.

you re right the t81 is not a proven battle rifle .... what about conflict in use for the m10x by curiosity?

I once spoke to a guy who used t81 in PLA. He said quality control was an issue then and most likely still is now.

Issues with M10x are both design and production quality.

600 rounds is barely anything in term of durability/reliability. Did you shoot it in one sitting ?

Lol your correct, many cant afford to drop $1800 on a gun that offers almost nothing to the Canadian market that other and often cheaper guns dont do better.

like everything made in china it is working but not the best. it is certainly a $500 rifle but with the non restricted sticker it is a little more. seems during the peak of covid19 it was worth way more ...

again which combat proven was the m10x involved in? even in the USA it is not catching up ... the only reasons some are buying it here is: novelty and no ak47 available for now here ... same for the t81 but less expensive ...

This is true.

However when using the FMJ ammo it was designed for, I honestly can't think of a single time I've ever had a stoppage with an SKS over 12 years of shooting them on almost every shooting outing. No exaggeration.

hi Pecheneg, thanks for the vid. I was considering buying it, but I will stick with my sks for now. Have you used the gas regulator on M10x? Please expand on it - i.e. how many positions does it have and what are the effects of each?
Thanks

I agree, but when comparing utterly reliable guns to other utterly reliable guns i do like to mention that observation even tho it wont matter to 80% of SKS users.

hi thanks. yest i used all gas settings. those really are affected by temp+ humidity, type of rounds and FTEs/ it has 0 1 2 or something like this, i have not looked at it for months. two or three positions, do not remember
