M10x Unboxing

Best group extrapolates to 2.35" @100yds, and average group (1.53" @40yds) extrapolates to 3.85 inches?? That's some mad DMR accuracy there...

To extrapolate 40yds to 100yds you must multiply by 2.5 not 2.

Your groups at 40 yds. under perfect conditions mathematically might reach out to 100 and 300 yds.
But outdoors in real world conditions ..me thinks groups will be larger then what the math says

For 2K, you can get MUCH better guns than that. Not saying it’s a bad firearm - it in fact appears to be quite nice, for what it is -, but that’s a $1200 gun, not a 2K one.

You guys need to bear in mind that my posted groups are the result of a single sample of 1 load, and a commercial semi-bulk reload, at that. I suspect that Hornady match ammo will produce exponentially better groups with more skilled hands and eyes than mine. Tuned handloads even more so. People writing-off this rifle based on a sample of 1 are knee-jerking, big time. That, or their preconceived, negative biases are showing through...

I won't be spending any money on expensive match ammo to satisfy other people's expectations. That is not what I bought the rifle for. I have a case of non-corrosive, copper-washed 7.62x39mm reloads made from Chinese components that will form the basis of my rifle's steady diet at the outdoor range this summer. I am not afraid to post my 100m groups with that bulk fodder when I get the chance. If I can get 3-4 MOA with that ammo I will be satisfied with AK-equivalent accuracy out of the M10X with the cheapest non-corrosive ammo I could find...

Bartok I live in Leduc county and have a lot of different brands of 7.62x39 surplus and commercial ammo that we can try.... some rarer military brass cased stuff too... if you want to do another test maybe at an outdoor range as all if this will be no go at Phoenix? I don't have any horse in this race just want to see what the rifle can do before I decide to buy one

Sure, let's get together and run some tests! I am retired, so can meet you at Genesee just about any time within reason and decent weather. Let's take this to PM.

What, like other reviews are outright lies? Stay classy...:jerkit:

Unlike all your classy posts.....:jerkit: I'll post more pics with links to vids etc.... not just a bunch of TALK like some people but your so skilled and so interested in the m10x maybe we should let you do it instead!?!?!?

Or I wont post ####, be silent on how it runs so you can make the decision to buy one on your own like a man or everybody else who put their money where their mouth is

Reading your posts it’s hard not to imagine that you’re an irrational child lashing out. Someone posts a review and you essentially call them out as a liar and their opinion worthless. All while not yet having rounds down range with it yourself? A little much, don’t you think?
The only reason I’m following these threads is because I have a genuine interest in the rifle. I could care less about the bashing and the unwavering adulation that is seemingly based on nothing other than the bill of sale.

Probably the single best idea you’ve had in some time. The drivel is getting annoying.

LMAO but yet here you are posting on the thread I made about a rifle I have. Maybe you should take that advice aswell

But easy buttfed, I dont take everything I read off the internet as genuine 100% proof. I'll prove it for myself and I take a bit more honesty with people who have proven that to me. ALA Bartok and what he has shown not just in this thread but in general on cgn. That speaks alot

What is with your irrational and childlike insistence upon video? This isn't exactly the Kennedy assassination we are documenting here....

Nice how you have insinuated that my results are somehow falsified, essentially calling me a liar. Very classy....

Lol!!!!

If any one is looking for sights that work i am trying Troy micro battle sights.
Mounted an aimpoint pro with spacer removed and it lines up really well.
Dot is just above front sight post.It is some where between absolute and 1/3.
Sights by themselves gives me a pretty good cheek weld and line up perfect.
No cheek riser needed.

Is there supposed to be a spring or something behind the bolt? There is nothing keeping bolt closed/pressed forward. If I pull back on the charging handle the bcg just sits to where I pulled it to it doesn't snap close.

It must suck for you knowing I have as much experience with it finger f*cking the one at CSC as you have with the two you bought, eh? LOL

For those that haven’t yet or won’t get a chance to look at these in person, here’s what I think:
I spent all of ten minutes and figured out without shooting it it isn’t worth the $2000 air fare. Imho.
Comparable to Swiss Arms? I don’t think so, but I only own two Swiss Arms. When compared to a beat-to-sh!t AK, sure, I suppose there is an argument for that, but a straight up side-by-side? No. I’d compare this to low to mid grade AR for quality overall - like PSA or the like. Nothing wrong with that, but not $2k worth of admission.
Giesselle like trigger? Nope. It’s a sh!tty single stage with a mushy let off. Not a particularly great trigger, even for an AK, but it is serviceable, even on the light side for something like this. It is begging for an upgraded two stage.
Fit / finish? It’s ok, but nothing to write home about. The glossy, smooth finish of the safety is a bit weird. Of one item I want a tactile separation on a firearm, it’s the safety.
The semi-smooth finish of the receiver and picitinny top rail? I would have preferred a dull type III anodizing. The rail on the CSC floor model is already showing signs of ever-so-slight wear at the edges.
I didn’t and won’t pick it apart, as it’s appeal quickly evaporated.
The general feel imho is this thing should retail for $1200-1400 before tax. However, I’m of the belief that both the
VZ-58 and T-81s are over priced too, so take that with a grain of salt.
It’s like it has too much going for it to be a 7.62x39mm blaster, not to mention being too much cash, and too little going for it to be something you’d want to run in SR, carbine, or three gun. A fun generalist rifle for range or hunting? Get yourself a CZ-527 in x39...
I would reserve final judgement until I have rounds down range with one, but I personally think the builder has missed the mark with this. I think if they drop in price to under $1500, I’d maybe give one a whirl.
I did that with the B+T APC and am happy with the reduced price a gently used copy and a few months of cool down did to the asking price. As always YMMV.
