Hey guys,

I am currently on the ropes right now on what type of device to get for my m14 build. The rifle currently has a Smith Vortex DC Flashhider on it, but I am looking to get something to tame the muzzle movement of the rifle.

My MAIN GOAL is to get faster follow up shots. I am looking at getting either a muzzle brake or compensator to do this. I am leaning more towards the compensator as I am a bit drawn off by the loudness of muzzle brakes.

I am really considering purchasing the Griffin Armament Flash Comp at the moment. I've seen some awesome reviews on it and it's price is below 150.

I have also looked at the Lantac dragon muzzle brake. From the reviews it seems like it gives the shooter no muzzle movement or recoil! But after asking a few folks about it they said it was teeth chattering loud...which really does not appeal to me. I am willing to do with a bit of noise....just would like to keep my teeth in one piece. I also want to consider the folks next to me as well. I do stints in South Africa where I train anti-poachers and do range time with them...so I'd like something that won't blow their caps off.

Any information on this stuff would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Ben

I have the lantac on my m305 22 it is indeed loud but omg it feels like a 22lr or maybe a 223 worth the money. Now im thinking of getting one for my type 97.

I have the heavy Troy medieval on my m1a. It's a little loud, The looks of their muzzlebrakes/comps to me seem as if they were for show, but quick follow up shots are a breeze!

Let us know what you go with and how it works for you, eager to hear!
