I have a chance of picking up some old prohib converted auto firearms yes i do have the statis but with the OIC and the whats happening with the the ARs and M14 clones i dont know if they can be transferred ....they are not the modern copies they are already prohibs in the other old class ...both of the guns are mint mint mint i dont want them to go to a smelter or dewat them i will dewat if thats my only choice .there is also an Aug but im not sure if its 12.4 or 12 .3 .

AUG is 12(4) - ask me how I know. If it is the Black Police model, I might be interested depending on the price. I already have the Green with Aussie bits and bobs on it, so don't need one of those.

As for 12(3) and 12(5), you should be able to transfer them if you have the endorsement on your RPAL. The only problem with 12(3) firearms is that you may never receive them. You see, the RCMP Special Support Services Section (aka: "The Lab") now insists that EVERY single 12(3) transfer must now pass through them for inspection of the conversion process to ensure that it was done to their expected standard and was not messed with by the previous owner. I won't be selling any of my 12(3)s as I do not want to be blamed for reversing a conversion if they find something they don't like. My guns are in the same condition as received from their previous owners, but that may not necessarily please the RCMP Lab, ya know?!? Anyhow, the current wait time for 12(3) inspections ranges from a year to never in your remaining lifetime. Buy and transfer 12(3) guns at your own risk...

I know about the wait it took 5 yes 5 years to get my isreali fn and all i needed to do to conform was weld a ground down safty sear in place ...boy i gave them sh€t but they dont care ...as far as cost they are free to me as the owner wants them to go to a good home he also has a deawoo kc20 which i know i can get np ...ok we will see what happens btw my buddy did a transfer with a bren and got it within a month and never had to send it in ..i didnt have to send in my mp44 2 years ago but i did have to do a couple more welds and send them pics

Well seeing as how they are free to you, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Who cares if they are held up for a few years. Gives you something to live for.... Besides, you might win the lottery and get them right away. That never seems to be my luck, but YMMV....

THIS. I'd LOVE a 12-3 MP40 but I don't want to put up with the RCMP lab BS on an item that is so expensive. Seriously, it'd be more entertaining to just staple the money to the wall. At least I can see it that way.

Yep they can be transfered but my last one 12.3 took over a year. If you have the right class a 12.2 or 12.3 AR is transferable but a former restricted one cannot be. Same with the M14 a 12.2 or 12.3 is transfereable if you have the right class but a former non restricted cant be. business and export excluded. transfer times vary. I find if you buy them from a business instead of private they take less time. Business can often just send in photos of the conversions to appease the lab. i just picked up two more from switzers last month we will see how long these ones take

would love a 12.3 ar10
