M14 and variant grease?

Why's that?

Well if he's using it on his pecker its defiantly going to fall off. I'd say clp would be great for wipe down/bore cleaning but for all the metal to metal rubbing in the m14 you need grease. look for something meant for sliding metal to metal contact. I found some Lucas red "n" tacky #2 at crappy tire a few years ago I bought it because i was looking for a grease formulated for sliding parts(stays put) for my alloy to metal slide pistols. I contacted the company to insure it was safe for aluminium alloy and their tech insured me it was. Its been working great on my s&w 39 for years and now on my m14 too. Its starting to get cold here so I'll soon know if that affects it any.I've shot the model 39 in -15 temps and it worked fine so I imagine the m14 will be fine.

Walked into canadian tire and walked out with a 6" white tube of green wheel bearing grease. Shoot almost exclusivly in the winter, been going like a champ four years running.
