M14 at dark intnl

Dark service is outstanding, package arrived safe and in good order with 2 * 5 round mags, 1 20/5 mag, a sling and clenaing kit, shipped to my door, and pre-registered without hassle for $500.00

From this point on Dark will be getting all my business. When you factor in the cost of the items they include, they are substantially lower priced than Marstar and the service is excellent, and without a hitch.

Rodger is the MAN! excellent guy to work with! Marstar threw me off with the "Accessory" page. It seemed to me from the site that when they get the rifles in, they strip the box of Strap, clips ect... and then wanted an extra $100.00 for all these items together, this may not be the case but it just seemed like that to me. I recieved my M-14s and refund for PST(Quebec) in two days so anyone telling me the shipping is too much should think of that. I would buy 10 more of these rifles from him, I was expecting an all nighter to clean the Cosmoline and it seems that there was only a thin coat of oil(Very Nice). The rifle is absolutely Amazing, I can see why the Americans would be jealous of em' and wanna' put em' down at every turn. The rifle is tight, clean and seems very well finished for a "Battle Rifle". I like the Aluminum Oxide and am surely going to spend funds to get this rifle perfect. I have just a couple questions.

1.- .308 is on the Reciever: Can I shoot commercial .308's(NON-Magnums) without worries out of this rifle?(Aprox 40-60 rnds per year)

2.- Is the OP-Rod guide and Recoil Buffer from Marstar a good Idea to get now, or should I wait till I shoot it first(Wear out in 10 years...) ;)?

Sorry if these were asked before but I'm new here and am still all excited about my new baby... ;)

Welcome to the club!

As long as you keep bullet weights 168gr and below you can fire all the .308 ammo you can afford to shoot!

The op-rod spring guide and buffer is a good buy if you want to tighten up your rifle. Not necessary, but a very good upgrade.
