M14 Bayonet Lug - Just curious... Yes or NO?

I have a USGI flash-hider with bayo lug and bayonet ... can't remember my fellow CGNer who sold me it though ... anyway, ROCHELLE still hasn't received the lug treatment ... as I'm wondering if it'll get caught on my parka or drag bag when I take her hunting ... wonder if I'll ever put it on as it only seems right for a M14 to have the lug ... :D

p.s. I love ROCHELLE ... :D

Hey .... all of you lug lovers... I just got back from Epps yesterday and I found that the new lot of 2009 Norincos (you read that right... 2009 Norcs) have bayonet lugs on their flash suppressors.

The Kommunist high School shop teachers finally got it right after over 10 years! :D

I'll initiate a report pretty soon... ;)

Good news . Then there should be lots cumming up in the EE when guys remove them for mod's

What say you... M14 lovers/owners/collectors out there? Are you hung up on the bayonet lug's presence ? Do you need therapy like me? LOL

I have been annoyed at the lack of Bayonet lug on my M1A, and noticed that Spcamno has one up for sale, just bought it actually.

Now not only was my M1A illegal in California (came with a tag to state that), it will be totally illegal now.

I have one of the original Norcs with the lug.

One of my LNIB heel stamped Poly Tech M14s came with a functional, endowed Chinese flash hider.
The finish on the lug is just a little rough and my GI bayonet will not "click" into place, a file would fix this problem.

I keep a well endowed GI flash hider in my parts box, but I only use SEI's DC Vortex on my M14s because I also use a SEI/Fisher sound suppressor.

The sound suppressor is a bit more practical these days than a bayonet :)

As I mentioned a few posts back, Collector's Source has some listed on their website, the cheapest being $60.

In the EE, I see Morpheus32 has one reduced to $55.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen one for any cheaper anywhere.

Thanks for your post!

I have seen them on ebay and gunbrokers brand new for around $50us, anybody knows if their gun export law apply to the bayonet too or not?

I know any m14 gun parts is a no no but what about m6 bayonet?

I looked around the legalese section, and apparently it should be good to import. However, at $50 USD, you may want to compare buying one in Canada and having it shipped versus importing one from the US and paying any fees on top of the shipping. One way may be cheaper than the other.

Oh you EVULL folks

We have to do something to stop these "drive by" bayonettings.

I did my part by removing the bayonet lug from my SKS's, Also bought plastic stocks for them.
However the L1A1 still has the lug, AND the bayonet. All the martinis and other rifles have bayonets.
