My ordered bipod rail mount from Sadlak Industries arrived today (Thanks to resuming of mail service:rolleyes:). It's $85. Part # P/N 140063.

Simple enough to install. Field strip the rifle. The rivets holding the sling mount need to be drummeled off from the outside first. The remaining rivet parts poked out. Two things need to change on the stock (wood or synthetic) to accept the inside screw plate. The holes need to be widened, which I did with a circular file, took two minutes. The next step is to ream out the inside wood to make a flat floor for the nut plate to sit in. Did that with a sanding tool on the drummel. Took 5 mins.

Next is to insert the floor nut plate inside. This maybe tight, so I used the sling mount with the alan screws provided to help pull the floor plate into the bottom snug.

The rail uses the existing sling mount, so it just all needed to be screwed in place. 15 mins tops.

Next pic below is a mounted bipod, the one I use on my AIA Enfield No4 (That needed some significant modification to put a pin on it.)

Havn't tried it yet, just finished putting it together. I expect it will work just fine.

it looks like it covers up the hole! You have any pitcher of the hole and the rail?

No it's not. That hole in the stock ahead of the sling mount is not for the gas release from the piston. Not sure what the hole is for, but the rail has a grove in it anyway, so the hole is not completely covered.
