I have a m14 blackfeather stock inbound and I am looking at my butt stock options.
I am eyeing a ar 10 magpul prs stock. I have a hard time locating the tube and nut. And I am not 100% shure what I need.

Thank you!

There's not a whole lot of difference between the AR-15 and AR-10 PRS stocks. The only real difference is that the cheek riser is further back to accommodate the longer throw of the charging handle. Other than that its the same tube and what nut are you referring to? The tube just screws in to the stock and the PRS comes with everything needed to mount it to the tube.

Thank you for the reply, how does the tube restricts the colm?

So I would only need a carbine length tube buffer? So a ar-15 one should work as it is for a m14?

Thank you

I have questions regarding this setup as well. I would love to see what guys have added, how they like it (scoped or not-scoped) and maybe even pictures to show how it looks. Just gives us all who might be considering the Blackfeather better ideas about how it looks and the performance, ergonomics.

All you need is a rifle buffer tube, not a carbine one, a rifle one. No nut required. Get the AR-15 PRS stock. All can be had from Wolverine Supplies.

Mil Spec Magpul CTR with the Enhanced Recoil Pad from MDT.
Different height snap-op risers are available for optics.

This commercial MFT butt stock and adjustable riser was very nice.
I think I still have this kit...

Ok I found a buffer tube at brownells . Do I need a special tool to install this in the blackfeather? .

Not if you are going with the Magpul PRS. You just thread the rifle buffer in hand tight, slip the PRS stock over it, then screw in the screw in the back that comes with the PRS. Whole thing is about a 2 minute job at best.

Thank you very much for your help! I ordered a ar10 prs

I run a AR-15 tube I purchase from wolverine along with a PRS. I personally like the PRS, it has some weight compared to other options out there but I have gone from irons, to a scope, back to irons and now a red dot. Havn't had any issues.

Here it is with the Trijicon Accupoint.

This is it currently with a Hensoldt RSA-S Red Dot. And my Manx "Tikka"... She has some creepy fetish with this rifle...

Here's some more pics with the PRS to give you an idea of what it looks like. I used the rifle tube and the AR-10 PRS. The shorter cheek piece works okay but I would suggest going with the AR-15 model for the longer cheek piece. I went AR-10 because it was all I could find and I was impatient.

I did the same for the same reason. One of the only prs stock I could find was at wolverine for 224$ but it was the ar 10 one they had a ar 15 bit it was od and my blackfeather is in fde. All the other prs I found were between 265-300+$ so I went with the ar10 one. I hope the cheak rest works ok for me.
