I was hoping to pick up a bolt tool from M14Doctor, but can't find hide nor hair of him. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Cold down here in Orange county, Texas today...35 degrees right now and 13 miles from the Gulf. Whew!!!

Thanks much.

Tex

M14doctor, the business is no more. The individual is me ;) but I didn't make the bolt tool.
Try magwedge. I think that the guy who manufactured them probably still has them under the "m14medic" name or something.
Or try brownells, they have M1A bolt tools that also work for garand and m1 carbine bolts. Strobel is one brand I've used as well.
I helped design and market the M14doctor bolt tool but it is not my product. While I still specialize in working with the platform, the M14doctor entity is no more.

You could try the 30.06 case method. Put an empty 30.06 case in the chamber, it makes it easier to get everything back into the bolt. Getting that thing back together can be quite a biatch.

look in the EE about a week ago he was clearing out the last of his stock . I think he is going to make his " OWN " bolt tool by the tone of his EE add

Hi all I am now a forum sponsor so am entitled to advertise and comment so it should help in finding our products.

Magwedge.com is the website and yes I have a few of the old tools left on sale.

From what feedback I get these tools are considerably superior to others that are available, but if you are asking the question you probably have some idea that is the case.

They are both my own bolt tool, just this is left over stock from a project I had hoped to complete with Thomas that never bore fruit.

The new tool is much the same, with the added feature of being able to accomodate the Garand bolt as well as the M14 bolt. They are also available now, I just have not begun to promote them. I will see about getting a pic for you guys soon, they are sweet.

Just picked one m14dr bolt tool recently from magwedge and arrived today. Im so happy.. That bolt disassembly/assembly was the most dreadful thing in my collection. Sad to see i missed out on the garand feature as well but that bolt is worlds easier to take apart n put back together.

Bought 3 diff magwedges as well and quite like them all so far.. Xcr pistol mags fit great on the new style magwedge that alligns them straight. Also bought theolder style ar15 one and the angled baseplates on my xcr pistol mags make quite the interesting almost ak mag like profile lol. My 5/20 norinco mags together look like the rifle has an arm lol.

Do not hesitate buying a bolt tool! So worth it! Magwedge can hook ya up.

Right on Dave. Good to see a canadian tool stayin on the market. Garand bolt fits too eh? Might have to pick up the new version. Good luck with the new endeavor.

Thanks Tom .... much appreciated.

I am a little envious of your living situation mind you. I often wish I could move to the country and kick back a bit. Hope all is well ...
