M14 brand new and defective..Pics added

Who is the dealer? Sounds like they treated you properly and it would be good to let the rest of us know who that was for future reference.

Who did you buy the rifle from?

I can't see the attraction to these rifles and why anyone would call them M14's. In my mind they are just inferior copies of a proven battle rifle which the M305 will never compare no matter how much it is modified with genuine GI parts etc.

The only thing I am keeping on mine is the receiver. USGI spec can't be beat! Other than that a lot of the parts are junk.

These guns fall into two categories, and should not be used for anything else IMHO

1. I dont give a ####, Im going to shoot the son of a ##### untill the barrel catches on fire and the receiver blows up, what a rush for $350.00

OR

2. Damn it Jim, we can rebuild it. Used as the basis for a project gun, which will be better than most american produced M1A for the mere cost of $2500.00 in upgrades.

I went for the latter

The bolt is so loose it wobbles while the case is chambered .... thats a bad thing im assuming .., It's been 6 years sence I owned a m14 Im not so familiar any more .... Its not a local shop its a provenance over so I can't see it before I buy but I know the customer service is decent .. Fingers crossed

PM TacticalTeacher here, he's the M14 expert.

They shoot very well. Ive done well at 500 yards with mine. Some one at the ORA Vintage shoot yesterday had one and it fired nice tight groups at 300. No issues at all. Mine is stamped M14s, not M305.

UPDATE: Frontier Firearms replaced it with absolutely zero hassle.. The new one arrived in mail today and it's fully functional.. I will be writing a stellar review on FF thread tomorrow for outstanding customer service... I have only ever been treated like that from another top dealer on here in my 12 years of firearm purchases..
