hey everyone,

my norc m14 flings brass forward and to the right.... is that normal?

if you were looking at it from an overhead view it would be throwing brass at about 1 o' clock

Thanks

Brass

SKses throw them up and slightly to the right. If you have an overhanging structure, they tend to bounce and seek cleavages or bald tops...
Vz 52/57 lands them at about 7 to 8' at 10 to 11 o'clock.
Hakims and Ljungmann, well, at about 2 o'clock but we've never been able to recover them from corpses, they always exit...;)
PP.

It looks like my brass is clipping the edge of my receiver when it is ejected, this I assume is not normal, as I have only shot 40 rounds off and I can already see silver in one spot where the finish is wearing away.

The face of the brass looks a little rough after being shot as well.

Happen to anyone else? Why is it not ejecting to the right instead of forward? Wonder what it will look like after 400 rounds....

Maybe, just maybe the ejector is contacting the brass a tad earlier than it should. Maybe the ejector is a bit too long.

Mine does that too. I can see a bit of brass on the receiver. The finish isn't worn away though. I shot about 150 rounds through it. I wouldn't worry about it.
