M14 Bullpup legal?

I found an interesting site that offers a stock which would transform our beloved M1A/M305 into a nice and compact Bullpup rifle.

(Note that the Bullpup rifle was a shorter-barrelled M1A than the one shown underneath, a normal one would obviously be longer)

My question now is, are those kinds of stocks even legal in Canada? And if, do they turn the rifle into a restricted-firearm?

Not really, that pretty much answers it :D

Saved me $800, so much is for sure.

EDIT: I was lying, I actually do have another question. Are Bullpup-transforms illegal in general, or are there cases in which it is legal?
 
Ah ok, it refers to aftermarket items only?

I was already a bit confused, because Wolverine Supplies seems to offer a semi-auto P90 (with extra long barrel), but that one would classify as a bullpup, too, doesn't it?
 
When it leaves the factory in bullpup configuration it <may> be acceptable as long as the stock is actually a critical part of the mechanism. There is one type of .22 rifle (that I know of) which was deemed prohibited by the bureaucrats under the argument that the gun could still function without the stock.
 
The rifle isn't illegal, but the stock is. Basically if the rifle can fire without that stock, it is prohibited. The laws make so much sense some days.
 
I know it is obvious to most on this board, but for newbs who have not yet heard of it, another legal bullpup is the IWI TAVOR. It is also non-restricted and in my opinion the best thing since sliced bread!
 
"...but the stock is..." Don't try to figure out why this particular bit of stupidity is law either. It'll give you brain damage.

If it will go BANG without the stock it is illegal. It must be an integral part of the weapon to be legal, like the TAVOR.
