M14 castle nut pliers

I modified my first pair of clamp vise grips into castlenut pliers long before I even joined CGN.
Been copied by others ever since ;)
What brought me to make them was the junky ones coming out of the U.S. at the time and I wanted a sturdy, last me a lifetime tool that would defeat the most stubburn of castlenuts without mucking up the dimensions or finish.
I'd say the vice grip clamp type castlenut pliers are the superior tool for the job if you are planning to be able to use them repeatedly for years. I also use mine for other castlenuts I encounter working on machines, AR buffer tube lock nuts ect.
The normal ones work fine too if you get a decently made pair.

As I said, about 30 mins with a file.

I know it's been mentioned but the pliers offered by brownells are garbage. I wrecked mine the first time I used them. Seem to be made of 1/8" #### steel...
