Bench grinder and a small pair of Visegrip C-Clamp pliers.

15 Minutes & $15 and you have castlenut pliers that are much better(more solid) than most you can buy.

A dremel, tierod wrench($25) and 20 minutes will give you a gaslock wrench. (And it's still useable as a wrench if you want to work on your car.)

It took me about an hour... the cheap C clamp vice grips were so soft a file was as fast as a grinder.
