M14 Clinic

Just got back to the house. Took my new shorty to the Owen Sound clinic and got it tweaked. (2 shims and a lot of grease.) Looking forward to a range test.

If you have a M14 and have not yet gone to a Clinic - do it before your #### falls off.

Hungry teaches us how to do some of the basic tweaks and then we all help each other do it. Different guys have different skills.

It appears a very important skill is knowing how hard to swing the hammer - and how big a hammer to use. This is where helping each other comes in. I could not bring myself to pounding on my own rifle to knock the flash hider off, but a big mechanic said he had no problem in pounding my rifle - and he did.

Great day, great information, and great tips. Like Ganderite says - if you have an M-14, you really should attend this clinic....it was well worth the money and our drive from London today.

I have unpacked and my mag is missing. I think it got lost in the shuffle of the tables when we packed up.

My mag is the one with a black bottom plate with a painted color dot on it.

I left yesterday before the CQB drills so I didn't know where to look even though I was at the range today.

Rule303 dropped by to look for your magazine and found nothing from what I heard. Hopefully it turns up.
